Technology Services Group, Inc. Named Alfresco Platinum Partner

We are excited to announce that TSG has been recognized a Platinum Alfresco partner!

While working with a couple of clients recently the question of how best to organize documents in their ECM systems came up. Both had started organizing documents by department but then realized for the long-term that organizing by document type worked better. While no one-way of organizing information may fit every ECM implementation this post will share a few guidelines and best practices that make the long-term management of information a bit easier. Alfresco Partner Spotlight on TSG – Salesforce.com Integration

Today, Alfresco published an interview with TSG on the work we’ve done with the Alfresco Connector for Salesforce.  Given our expertise with both the Alfresco and Salesforce.com platforms, developing the integration has been a great intersection of both TSG practices.

We’ll be presenting an overview of the integration at Alfresco DevCon in San Jose next month, as well as launch a series of blog articles in the coming weeks on how users will be able to best leverage the integration, and supporting solutions TSG will be able to provide.  Stay tuned!

NY Philharmonic Digital Archives – 2012 Alfresco Implementation of the Year

TSG’s work with the New York Philharmonic Digital Archives was recently named 2012 Alfresco Implementation of the Year.  We wanted to thank the team at the NY Philharmonic for giving TSG the opportunity to work with them and providing the vision of what the Digital Archives is today.  The digital archives provides a perfect example of how open source technologies can be leveraged to create a robust and scalable enterprise solution.  Using OpenMigrate for high volume content ingestion, OpenAnnotate for face tagging, Solr for faceted search, with Alfresco as the central repository make up the key architectural components driving its success.  We look forward to continue working with the New York Philharmonic as they innovate and expand the digital archives.

Alfresco / TSG Webinar – Using Alfresco for Controlled Documentation

ECM Ownership at Successful Organizations

While working on a 2012 roadmap and strategy for a client, I was asked “How do successful organizations deploy and manage ECM systems?” Since it’s a question worth some thought, I took the opportunity to conduct an informal survey of TSG account managers. What follows are observations about what we see working at clients when it comes to making ECM decisions and getting things done.

New York Philharmonic Digital Archives – New Content Release on March 22nd

The New York Philharmonic will be hosting a Google Hangout tomorrow to discuss the new release of Digital Archives material from 1943-1970 (International Era). Scholars from around the world will be participating to discuss the content, and the historic tours from that time period under Leonard Bernstein.

Alfresco / TSG and United Cerebral Palsy Featured on Local News in Chicago

In January, TSG and United Cerebral Palsy of Chicago (UCP) was featured on ABC Channel 7 in Chicago, looking at how TSG has worked with UCP to donate our expertise to create applications such as myInfinitec and InfiniTEXT.  Both solutions were built leveraging the Alfresco platform and are hosted on the Amazon cloud.

TSG has been working pro-bono with UCP for a number of years has been a great way to utilize our content management expertise to directly provide value to UCP’s clients, comprised of over 20,000 educators across the country.
